Y'know what really sucks? OS X doesn't allow the Apple Remote to do really useful things, such as binding remote buttons to certain keys.
Isn't that, like, the obvious thing anyone would want to do with those remotes?
A pretty thorough list, at least for what you've used. Things I think you should avoid: Camtasia Studio, Dreamweaver, and Real Player, all of which I have to use on windows for my job.
Agreed on all but one - why VLC?
After a certain version number, it changed, and sucked. And then I found Perian, and it sucked some more. And became useless.
Maple owns. So does Spartan
