Officially, the reason we went to Palmy for 8 sleeps was to go to a wedding of two people I'd met once and didn't recognise at all. Surprisingly, I wasn't very interested during their wedding, especially the singing. Though the intended reading (1 Corinthians 1-13) could have been interesting... (More)13 Oct, 2008

If you want the music video (which works fine in iTunes), you can go watch White and Nerdy. Mac users (ie, Huggies ;)), option-click to download it.17 Oct, 2006
There are 3 more artists to be released for Parachute. I say that they will be: Thousand Foot Krutch (who will be the 2nd one - ie, below Third Day); Mumsdollar and My Life Story.10 Oct, 2006

So people wanna know what I was up to at Parachute. Well, Melissa wasn't there and I was continuously skipping concerts. I missed basically all of Anberlin (who sucked for the small amount I heard anyway), Delirious (who just suck) and Saturday's Main Meeting (I just walked off in the middle of it). (More)25 Jan, 2006
3 more sleeps. Almost time to roadtrip to Parachute. I'm not going for the music this year either. Delirious and Anberlin are headlining. I like Anberlin, not so sure about Delirious. But whatever. Good people (though not the best) will be there, and I get to share a bus with Ivan and various other people. The other people will be heaps more fun. And they dropped the Op Shop Ball (it seems) for some hip-hop thing. Losers. I like Late 80 Mercedes. Who else could have a song with a line such as "Why do you think God gave you legs, walk into my kitchen and cook me some eggs" and have lots of people charge each other down (and "hug") Braveheart-style?. That was one good time. (More)23 Oct, 2005
Here are the lyrics, as promised. This song sums up where I'm at. Kinda. I need more life in my day, not more day in my life... (More)

This song rings so true with mi at the moment. I need a mental vacation. The amount of stuff I've been through recently is taking it's toll, and I'm getting pissed for no reason, trying to do stuff that I know I can't do, and just generally being an arsehole. The only problem is that I can't afford to take time off. I need to stay in Wellington pretty much all holidays (flatmate hunting and men's group mainly) and even if I could leave, I can't afford it. There is no work, and surviving on just a loan is bloody hard work... (More)

This song is cool. Someone described as the "ultimate non-dodgy spading song", and that's wrong. MxPx have "Do Your Feet Hurt?" and there are others...Anyway, because I like this, I can blow some common misconceptions to bits. Yay! (-: (More)

I can type faster than the computer can display at the moment, because I've run out of RAM. I need more. Donations are welcome, but it needs to be installed by the shop people, so it'll cost loads more than me installing it. I only have 1 slot as well, which sucks just as such.Anyway, I'm out of RAM because I'm burning a CD. The 7th CD in the collection. This collection in my music. I'm burning it off as a selection of mp3 and AAC files, and it's free to borrow. You just need iTunes to use them. I have PDFs of the song lists avaliable as well. Just email, IM, text or talk to me. The landline is hard to reach, but if you can get it (or get me off the Internet, depending on who you are and what I'm downloading), it works as well. There are 10 CDs at the moment, which has all artists in my list up to Vanessa Carlton. The remaining data only takes up 214.5MB, so I'll burn it off when it gets up to the 690MB mark (or something around there). This mainly means no Wash or Zed.

I was told that I should update the list of my music on the Internet. So, I went through a few of the various themes avaliable in iTunes XHTML Playlist. And now I see that there are demos on the site. Oh well, I still like the same one as last time. (More)25 Apr, 2005
I don't have this song. I have a Jump 5 cover of it. And I want this song. It's album ("Change Your World") is probably number 1 on my want list at the moment. We used to have it on tape, but that died. It's still an awesome song, for the message rather than the beat. Mainly because it's so obvious, yet so hidden, and very, very true."Friends are Friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them" sums it up nicely. Forever could be taken to mean more than one thing as well. (More)

Wash are gone, so I need a new band. They need to be a New Zealand one, so I have some chance of seeing them in concert every so often. The only problem is that my other favourite bands are American, and they aren't very likely to do multiple New Zealand tours. Bands such as Hawk Nelson, KJ-52 and MxPx.Any ideas?

I have a nice large amp sitting very, very close to me at the moment. It rocks, real loud. I've yet to put it over 30%, but it was as loud as my normal speakers when it hit 5%. I like it.Thanks to the guy who is lending it to me so I can do the recording...
I'll post a picture (with a roll of duct tape for scale) on Thursday/Friday.

Some people disgust. Teaching kids superstitious stuff to stop them being scared of the monster under the bed or in the closet (or something much more sinsiter). This is appalling behaviour. The main reason for me having little fear is that, in the words of the Lads, my best friend is the creator of the universe. So if Jesus, is for me, who can be against me?So, instead of teaching kids superstition and a bunch of crap, teach them the truth from the Word of God. It's much more powerful, and it works. (More)

I went to the Wash concert. AWESOME!!!!! fails to describe it. The only bad part was that Wash is breaking up. They release their debut CD, then break up. How stink is that? (More)31 Mar, 2005
I am seriously considering getting a haircut. Mullhawk, with a rapid degeneration into a Mullet, I think it will be. Oh, and a crazy random sideways bit. I just gotta remember that everyone has Mullet Jealousy. Oh, I'm mainly doing this for the reaction. I'll probably end up with a no. 2 or no. 4 or something. There is only about a 60% chance of me actually going ahead with this. I need moral support. My hair is younger than my iPod by about 2 weeks. So it's kinda old. And long. Will make a phat mullhawk. And just for fun, the lyrics to Mullet Pride: (More)06 Mar, 2005
These guys are cool. They are a Christian Parody Band, and fairly good at it as well. They did rips off heaps of songs (I only got a few). Currently playing is "YHWH". "Should I Pray or Should I Go", "Lifestyles of the Rich and Nameless" and "I'm a Receiver" are a few of their other tracks. The songs don't always work out, but they are heaps better than the originals, in terms of lyrics at least. If you're interested, head along to their website and get yourself some free tracks. It's worth it. (More)25 Feb, 2005
I recently (as in a few minutes ago) posted my top 25 most played songs on a forum. So I decided that I can post them here as well. First one isn't a song, it's a "We try to thing and nothing happens"... (More)23 Feb, 2005
I don't really like the Girl Song. I just posted the lyrics to get the reaction, which I got. It was nasty (and I'm not putting the comment back in, not that I can). After that, I was going through my top 25 most played tracks, and seeing how many are girl-based songs. I count 9, with another few that could be, but don't express it in the lyrics directly. It's scary. The most played song in my library, Every Little Thing (by Hawk Nelson, from Letters to the President, a great CD), fits into this category. Not only are the lyrics great, but the song itself sounds awesome. The baseline is great (not that my speakers play it too well) and it just rocks. I actually brought Letters to the President because of this song. I think that I managed to get a mp3 file from Hawk Nelson's radio player and blog it sometime.
Yup, I did. Every Little Thing. (More)

I just got their CD yesterday, and it's great. It contains songs such as "Genie in a Bottle", "The Love Boat", "Strong" and "Oops I did it Again". They are a band that do rip-offs of other songs, switching them into Swing Funk, and making them better, with slight changes to the lyrics. I saw them at Parachute a few times, and they sang "The Girl Song". I've listened to this song multiple times (2) and I now have the lyrics. They are great :-) (More)16 Feb, 2005
The song, Every Little Thing, by Hawk Nelson, has finally made 1000 plays in my iTunes library. Thats just scary. (More)29 Jan, 2005
Friday. Got up early (around 0530) because I needed to back and get ready for the bus. The bus trip was good. KJ-52 was pumping for awhile, but certain people (basically everyone except Me and Robyn) didn't like him, so he didn't last. Mark went through the iPod and picked some songs, so it was good. Played a bit a cards as well, but there was a problem. My solution, was always, was Duct Tape. This was the awesomest table ever.A few notable incidents from the bus trip:
1. Simon's soccer ball exploded. With a huge BANG!!!!!!!! In Taupo, when it was hit by a bus. Easily replaced.
2. I brought 24 cans of various soft drinks from the Warehouse in Taupo.
3. I got some phone calls. About stuff.
We got to Parachute at a good time (dunno what it was, I don't have a duct tape watch). (More)

Went to Alabaster Box and Phono last night. It was a bit better than I had anticipated. Phono played the drumnbase song (I think its I am waiting, will check with Ash sometime) and Send Me. Alabaster Box were a bit better than last time, probably because I was quite more violent (I have a tiny weeny carpet burn only to show for it). (More)25 Jan, 2005
3 more sleeps until I'm outta here. Wednesday Morning, Wednesday night and Thursday night. Z Amigos is the first band I wanna see, but they are at 1730, so we might not get there in time. Next one up is Wash at 2030, and there is no way I'm missing them. Their competition is Ben Lummis, so I'm sure it'll be very popular. Mainstage as well. (More)25 Jan, 2005
Tomorrow, the 25th of January, Alabaster Box are playing in Wellington, at the Wellington Central Church. Ben told me this church is on the corner of Taranaki St and Webb St (its address is 39 Webb St), but Dad says its the corner of Torrens Terrace opposite the brick building. I know exactly where this is, so I'm going. I've got soccer (yup, starting up again, hope to improve on a dismal season) right before and will probably head down to Cuba/Manners Mall for a feed before the concert. Oh, and they are going to be supported by a small Wellington band called "Phono" :-)12 Jan, 2005
Paul Colman and the Lads are doing 3 concerts in NZ to support World Vision. They are in Wellington on the 10th of Feburary, up at the Rock (Ngauranga Gorge). I might go, but tickets are $15 a head and thats around the time when I'll be broke. (More)02 Jan, 2005
The concert, when it got around to starting, was actually better than I had anticipated. Note to self: Never again use 96 kbps WMA files to judge a singer. In fact, never again use WMA files at all. I got home around 0200, but sleep wasn't coming, and the iPod was playing some decent rap/hip-hop (drop the swearing and volume from Scribe, and you've almost got it). I used the Notes feature on the iPod for awhile (KJV of Matthew, I was reading), then just listened for about 4 hours all up. It was freaky. I got to sleep sometime after 0614, which gave me more than 24 hours awake in a row. I probably had some sleep in there without really knowing it. (More)14 Dec, 2004
This guy has a great song out. I picked it up on the WoW Hits 2005 CD (Disc 1 even) and like it loads. Its bestest :-) (More)29 Nov, 2004
I like bass. I like it alot. So much, that when I say a certain mp3 on one of mangy's CDs, I was hooked. Its pretty cool, and I claim no responsibilty for any damage caused to speakers and the like. My speakers play it fine, as does the church amp. Anyway, go get yourself some mega bass.17 Oct, 2004
The Lads are coming to All Saints. They will be coming on November the 19th. Doors open at 7pm, and it costs $5 at the door. Even though I have two exams on the same day (Geography and Level 4 Physics) I'll be going. I also get a large weekend afterwards. Come along and have some good music and good times. For more info, email Ben12 Oct, 2004
They came to church last night. Pretty good. Phono was good as well. My favourite song was most probably the Joy one. I've been trying to get more of their songs off the net, and found 2 more, bringing my grand total up to 4. I was challenged to get their songs from their radio palyer, but they are only 16Kbps streams, and sound horrible. If you really want one, get Main Attraction. It's cool.01 Oct, 2004
I found this nifty app, and getting ready to compile a list of CDs that I want, so I got my entire musik collection. In a way. You can see song name, artist and albulm. Sometime soon I'll add genre in, so you can see what I've streamed and what I actaully got on CD or from some nice artist's website.yomcat's iTunes Library.

Here are a list of my favourite songs at the moment. I'd like to thank CMRadio.net for being the best source for Christian Music on the net, and all those people that lent me CDs. :-)Normally, I would base this off play counts and various other factors, but I recently converted the majority of my iTunes collection to mp3 (from AAC) due to getting a new computer that doesn't support my iPod and still waiting the music. iTunes decided to wipe my playcounts (some above 300, and one almost at 20,000) and reset them all back to 0. So I'm doing this the hard way.... (More)
