Two Trees

Canon EOS 70D, Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens, 1/640 second @ f/1.8, ISO 320.
Not my best work, but I almost got the composition I was aiming for. I was kicking a ball around in the back yard, when I noticed that we have a really tall silverbeet (I think) plant. And positioned just behind it is a nice tall tree (like the one in this shot). So it makes an interesting composition.
Technically, there’s a lot to do. I exposed to the right for the first time deliberately, and it does work as advertised. In this case at least. However, my depth of field was far too small, and the back tree is way too out of focus. There’s also a streetlamp hanging out in there, which is annoying.
I also tried some HDR, but Lightroom couldn’t merge two exposures without everything going yuck, so I stopped.
