Day 3 - Rain
5 May 2014, 02:24

So it’s pissing down today, and I’m at home (last day of my post-thesis weekend). Instead of just taking still-life shots, I decided to grab the rain running down a window.
I placed myself, with the 70-200, at an acute angle to the window, to have the plane of focus (I’m shooting at f/2.8) intersect the window pane in a small area. The shot I really wanted, showing movement of the water, failed, as it’s too light, and I don’t have big enough sunglasses for this lens (more commonly known as an ND filter). So that goes on the list.
Anyway, the result, with a little polarisation and changing of curves, is above.
